The best information available on how elliptic arcs are supposed to works is from the SVG specification at "http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/paths.html#PathDataEllipticalArcCommands". The behavior of elliptic arcs is pretty complicated, so it is easy to understand how some drawing cases may be handled incorrectly in the WMF renderer. Thanks for your patch.
