I like that approach except that it would require adding a new API
structure member just for that purpose since there is currently no
'backdrop' member.  There are already structure members to support
foreground, background, and border colors.

There is also the issue that in order to provide backward
compatability (we don't want to break existing scripts), we would need
to support the option both with, and without an argument.  Currently
the only option we have with an optional argument is -profile, and
that has already caused plenty of problems for us.

For the moment, I have simply corrected the documentation to match
what the software actually does, and to match the existing help
output.
