Anticipating this response, I have already taken steps so that 
FlashPIX is not built by default and the FlashPIX sources are no 
longer distributed or checked out by default.  This saves 3MB for the 
compressed Windows source package (the FlashPIX sources consume 10MB 
of disk).  The FlashPIX library sources will remain available via CVS, 
and there is a FlashPIX library source package available.

Dedicated FlashPIX users with an available compiler should find it 
fairly easy to enable FlashPIX.
