New GraphicsMagick development snapshots appear on a regular basis at
the URL

   ftp://ftp.graphicsmagick.org/pub/GraphicsMagick/snapshots

Although these snapshots are called '1.4', this code is targeted for
the 1.3.7 release and not some future "blue sky" release.

Recent improvements include:

   * Updated libtiff to 3.9.1 (from 3.8.2)

   * TIFF float files from Photoshop CS2 (16/24/32 bit floats) can now
     be read and written under Microsoft Windows.

   * Can now write true grayscale JPEG-compressed TIFF.

   * Memory leaks in the WMF reader fixed.

   * CMS transforms (via LCMS) now see linear speedup on multi-core
     systems.

   * Drawing of points, lines, and polygons (as well as higher-level
     shapes depending on those) is now accelerated with OpenMP.

   * Drawing Wand API improvements.

Please test and let us know about any problems so that they can be
corrected before the next release rather than after.

Thanks,

Bob
