It sounds like you may be using a very old version of libwmf.  What
version are you using (I am using 0.2.8)?  Does it provide a
"libwmflite" library?

Use 'libwmf-config --version' if you are uncertain of the version.

The configure script should automatically add paths based on what
libwmf-config reports.
