Thanks for your replies to my queries.

I have submitted two patches and two tickets (with another patch). These 
are against the most current code which I downloaded from sourceforge: 
Code=>Download Snapshot.

The first 2 patches are to prevent a memory access error and a potential 
64-bit portability problem:

51    TclMagick: memory access error; possible segfault
50    TclMagick: 64-bit portability issue

The tickets are:

420    TclMagick issues and patch
419    Consider a small patch to log.mgk

The first has the patch which enables TclMagick to clear an exception in 
a wand. There is also a fix and suggestion for pkgIndex.tcl in my comments.

Since TclMagick still does not link with libtool, I still did a manual 
link and manual installation.
