All of the GraphicsMagick snapshots prior to 1.2.020051001 (issued today) have a bug in that the last position in text header fields is reserved for a null byte. This is a problem since text header fields in DPX are not null terminated and some of the fields in the motion picture part of the header need all of the space. As a result, a few header fields were corrupted when a file was converted. The development snapshots may be downloaded from ftp://ftp.graphicsmagick.org/pub/GraphicsMagick/snapshots/ If you have installed a previous snapshot of GraphicsMagick, please update ASAP. As a reminder, when building from source code, please make sure to supply the option --with-quantum-depth=16 so that internal sample storage is 16 bits. Many thanks to the user who discovered and reported the bug.
