Solved (?): there is a dependency on VS2008 runtime (msv*90.dll).
This dependency was solved for me after installing the redistibutable on
microsoft site.
Initially I thought I colud put the dll somewhere in the path: nope, as it
is resolved via WinSxS side-by-side dlls.
Maybe the msi installation file could include this dependency, but I may be
wrong as it could be not legal, I really don't know.
