Hi

I'm the author of the Perl wrapper GraphViz2
(https://metacpan.org/release/GraphViz2) around dot, and a user has
requested support for image maps. He sent this url:

http://www.graphviz.org/doc/info/output.html#d:cmapx

I tried the code there but 'gif' was rejected. I found I could use 'svg'
and 'png'.

I'm using dot V 2.38.0 under Debian V 8.6.

shell> aptitude search libgif
p libgif-dev - library for GIF images (development)
i A libgif4 - library for GIF images (library)
p libgiftiio-dev - IO library for the GIFTI cortical surface data format
p libgiftiio0 - IO library for the GIFTI cortical surface data format

shell> dot -T?
Format: "?" not recognized. Use one of: canon cmap cmapx cmapx_np dot
eps fig gv imap imap_np ismap pdf pic plain plain-ext png pov ps ps2 svg
svgz tk vml vmlz x11 xdot xdot1.2 xdot1.4 xlib

So, is the problem:
o My version of dot is out-of-date; or
o My version of dot was installed in an environment without libgif; or
o Are the docs are wrong.
