Hi,

I am using VLC as my streaming server. VLC is perfectly able to do the streaming and I am able to receive the stream on another machine using VLC client. I am streaming .avi files.

For our project requirement I need to capture the video stream using GStreamer. However when I use the rtspsrc plugin to capture the stream I get an error.

I am building gstreamer pipeline as follows.
gst-launch rtspsrc location="rtsp://172.22.65.147/" ! filesink location=/tmp/dump

where 172.22.65.147 is the server IP address where VLC is running.

The following is the error message received.

Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
ERROR: Pipeline doesn't want to pause.
ERROR: from element /pipeline0/rtspsrc0: Could not write to resource.
Additional debug info:
gstrtspsrc.c(3172): gst_rtspsrc_try_send (): /pipeline0/rtspsrc0:
Could not send message. (System error: Connection refused)
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
FREEING pipeline ...

I would like to know if I am using the correct GStreamer plugin/pipeline to capture the video stream.
I am a newbie to GStreamer. I would also like to know if the IP address specified in the pipeline should be the server IP address or the IP address of the machine on which I am trying to receive the video stream.

Thanks in Advance.
