collecting N frames

Hi,

I'm looking for a solution for the following problem:

from a single source, I collect a random number of buffers until a certain
rule has been met. I only want to output a buffer afterwards. What kind of
element
do I need to create ?  I guess a transform element ?
Can I prevent a transform element to output a buffer ?
