LA> Btw, should we talk about coding rules From experience on other largish projects, coding style isn't important, so long as everything is clear, commented and reasonably consistent. It doesn't matter if our loop filter uses tabs and variablesLikeThis but our transform code uses 2-space-indents and variables_like_this. Just respect the original author's style and don't mix tab and space characters in the same vertical column. I think we should avoid this topic if possible as it's almost an issue of religion for some people who are very adamant that their style is best (btw, I'm one of these people and I'm resisting temptation...). We could lose a lot of time and programmers by getting into a big debate. The most important thing is that the code should be readible by a newbie. How about this as our only rule: If you like a particular coding style then you can make sure it's used by writing lots of good source code for hdot264 ;-) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
