HDV Video convert to PenEXR image sequences?

Hi

Is it possible to convert video sources such as HDV and DV to OpenEXR
image sequences with IM?

The intention is to get the best untouched quality conversion from YUV
type video sources to linear image sequences for use in compositing
applications like Nuke and After Effects. Without luma scaling and
clipping.

Currently I'm using AVISynth converting from YUV to RGB with PC.601 &
PC.709 colour matrixes then exporting as .png then using IM to get to EXR.

I'd like to simplify and improve the process if possible.
