6.5.2.9 -> 6.5.7.0 breaks my app

I upgraded to imagemagick-6.5.7.0 from imagemagick-6.5.2.9 yesterday
and it broke my perlmagick app which resizes images.  Does anyone know
what has changed between those versions which could have caused this?
