Is there any way to improve the whole process? I mean, take a look at the following images: http://imagebin.ca/view/ymn7xNiw.html http://imagebin.ca/view/QpXN5P.html http://imagebin.ca/view/94JeOKm.html which were created by composite -watermark 20 letterA_shade120x45t.png Christmas2.jpg Christmas2-t1.jpg composite -watermark 20 -gravity southwest -geometry +20+30 letterA_shade120x45t.png Christmas2.jpg Christmas2-t2.jpg composite -watermark 20 -gravity southwest -geometry +20+30 letterA_shade120x45t.png lena.jpg lena_sw1.png All of them need some kind of improvement (to me). Comparing lena_sw1.png with gimp's result: http://imagebin.ca/view/mjdVWNU.html one can clearly see the difference. Or maybe I picked the worst spot? This looks better: composite -watermark 20 -gravity southwest -geometry +30+20 letterA_shade120x45t.png lena.jpg lena_sw2.png http://imagebin.ca/view/e5o2WfC2.html But still, I think Christmas2-t?.jpg can use a bit of improvement.
