I put those commands into a shell script & uninstalled IM via 'apt-get', 
but I am still
getting the following error messages:

claus@ubuntu:~/Linux/scripts$ display Grafik/sandrin_karte.jpg

What could be the reason for this, and how can I get IM to work again?
