Can only comment on "screen flash" - search
msdn for "flicker". See "CMemDC" mfc sample.

  Subject: [imagemagick] Suggestions?

So does anyone have any suggestions on how to quickly display an=20
ImageMagick image on Windows, allow the user to interact with it=20
(ie: draw freehand on it) and display it on-the-fly as it changes=20
back to screen? I guess I'm trying to set up a bitmap editing=20
program using ImageMagick that's fast enough that it doesn't flash=20
too much and gives me the processing power provided by ImageMagick=20
to modify the image, import and combine images, and save in various=20
  formats.

Has anyone used OpenPTC and PtcMagick? Is that the best way to go?

  Thanks.
  Jerry Chappell
