I undestand that RTFM is the standard answer after a "simple" question
as the one I am about to ask, but as of this minute I have been
researching the problem on the web for two days and I still can not
find an answer.
I am using :
Red Hat Linux release 8.0
Perl v5.8.0
ImageMagick-6.1.9
and I get the famous error:
"no decode delegate for this image format"
convert -list format
HTM* HTML -w- Hypertext Markup Language and a client-side

LABEL* LABEL r-- Image label

No freaking JPEG support!!!
There are:
--without-jpeg disable JPEG support
--without-jp2 disable JPEG v2 support
options but no --with-jpeg option.
How in the world do I get support for JPEG and PNG images?
I understand that I need to compile in JPEG support but how do I do that?
What are the compile options for jpeg support on a RH8 Linux system?
Thank you and please dismiss my frustraion :-)
Dan.
