It is DV, which can be used alone in raw format or encapsulated in AVI or MOV.

Only if Pinnacle Studio writes them as DV AVI because not all AVI
contains DV. DV is not a generic term; it is a specific format. Even
if it is DV AVI, there is a chance that there is some interoperability
problem especially of the AVI is more than 2GiB.
