It's been a while since I made a DVD using Linux and Windows. The way I
used to make them from either a VHS or satellite source went something
like this. dvgrab, kino, smilutils, y4mscaler, mjpegtools then I used a
Windows app called dvd lab pro to author the DVD. While I haven't tried
it in several years, Qdvdauthor was the only option then for authoring a
DVD with Linux. Perhaps it's matured some or there are alternatives now?
Before it left A LOT to be desired.

It looks like Dan no longer maintains kino. I guess the same goes for
dvgrab? Great tools, IMO, hate to see them go by the way side.
