What is a more effective use of a potential contributor's spare time: For example a port of Kino to current ffmpeg¹, or adding a feature to or improving the usability of one of the newer actively developed and distributed video editors? Of course it is entirely up to such an aspiring developer how he chooses to spend his time. -------- ¹) Distributors do not like it when applications bundle their own outdated copies of libraries.
