Re: dvgrab does not write an output file

I rebooted my computer into Windows 7, plugged the camera into the same firewire port, and captured 50 minutes of video and audio from the same tape with no errors or dropped frames. So at least I can report that all the hardware is working. As soon as I finish capturing the second 50 minute tape, I will go back to Linux and try your suggestions. Too bad VMPlayer does not support firewire, or I could do all of this without rebooting!
