Use the MPEG tab.

Kino is nice, but as you spend time on doing video stuff you will want
features kino does not have.  Then you will spend time learning a tool
that does have them, and the time spent with kino is basically wasted.

Have a look at kdenlive, or openshot.  I have used kdenlive and been
very happy.
