At last night's Linux Movies Group Hollywood Section meeting there were a
number of references to PCI-X & PCI Express. Later I got some comments that
some people were confused about what Intel is doing about bus architecture.
PCI Express will replace PCI-X & PCI starting this spring. We are about to
enter a transitional period like we did with transitioning from ISA to PCI.
A good source of information on PCI Express is located at
<http://www.express-lane.org>. Also there is an Intel white paper on
transitioning from PCI and PCI-X to PCI Express at
<http://developer.intel.com/design/network/papers/253755.htm>.
