     Actually, you have ;)  Most of my programming time right now goes into
a project called Tinara (which is still *mostly* vaporware - see
tinara.org), but I'm also credited in the list of contributers for Hydrogen,
and I've submitted a small patch or two to ZynAddSubFX.  I'm *not* a *great*
programmer, but I consider myself competent, and able to learn what I need
to know to get a programming task accomplished.

     As impressed as I am with Cinelerra's video compositing capabilities (I
also authored one of its plug-ins), it's still so unstable that I cringe at
the thought of using it for any complex audio work.  It would also preclude
the synchronized use of other applications - since it doesn't use JACK or
JACK transport.

     The ideal, of course, would be video playback in Ardour or RoseGarden. 
I'd toyed with the idea of trying to add JACK transport support to an
existing movie player, but that would be a *much* bigger project than I'd
have time for.  One possible alternative would be the creation of a simple
JACK transport client, which would do nothing but movie playback.  It would
be somewhat clumsy, but it could be functional.
