Act as the interface between production and technology to solve problems. Oversee shift schedules, facilitate technical training, and provide clear direction to the team. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the technical skills necessary for supporting a Linux production environment. Technical Support Engineer Responsible for all daily Help Desk activities in a Linux production environment Act as the interface between production and technology to solve problems at the user level. Interface with all other areas of technology to ensure production support problems are handled expeditiously. Render I/O Administrator Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting queuing system (LSF) and rendering workload. Tasks include troubleshooting and correcting failed tasks, quality control, technical advice/support and interfacing with production management. IDS Administrator The Image and Data Services crew is responsible for managing the creation and movement of our production data archives. Our IDS Administrators maintain and troubleshoot our image archives, workstation color calibrations and protection backups on a daily basis. Systems Administrator Our Systems Administrators are the crew that is responsible for the day to day care and feeding of our production infrastructure, including the configuration, tuning and troubleshooting. Performing hardware and software maintenance on workstations and server's as well as data protection. Media Editorial Support Technician Provide editorial and audio/video technical support services including hotline support, system setup and installation, trouble shooting and problem solving and routine maintenance. Support and / or operate systems including: Computer based non-linear editing systems (Avid-ACSR Elite preferred), Analog and digital audio and video post production systems (telecine, video/audio duplication), video and DLP DCinema projection systems, scratch dialogue recording. Software Engineers - General Software Development Engineer with experience in systems level programming and interfacing software applications with UNIX systems. Experience with Linux operating systems, compilers, libraries and a kernel issue is required. The individual will be highly analytical, solving development and integration problems among many internal and 3rd party software products. The successful candidate will also be able to contribute to software application development and support using C++, C, UNIX shell scripting and Java. Experience with databases (maintaining and programming) and knowledge of web, systems and network architectures are highly desirable. Graphics Software Engineers - Entry through Senior Level The Software Engineers are responsible for analyzing production procedures and problems, evaluating the effectiveness of existing systems, and making recommendations to improve output, efficiency, and workflow. They partner with production personnel to determine user needs and review system capabilities to decide what changes can be made within the existing systems and when new systems must be added. The Software Engineers will often work with developers and/or end-users on multiple films. Design responsibilities include the creation of new C, C++, Mel, Perl or Python code or the modification of existing code, whichever meets productions needs in the timeliest manner. Regression testing and analyzing of software, code check-in/integration, and distribution are part of the SWE's implementation responsibilities.
