Sr. Software Engineer/Architect, Production Data Management Systems

Lead a small team of software developers and production TD's in the design,
development, and maintenance of a Componentized Production Asset System used
to track the creation and editing of products generated in a digital
production pipeline for visual effects and CG animated films like
"Spider-Man 3," "Open Season," and others. Responsible for gathering
requirements from various productions, developing proper specifications and
project plan, working with the team to design, develop and maintain the
asset system, providing day-to-day management of the team and ensuring clear
communication to the user community during all phases of the project.
Skills: Project management experience, software design experience, C++,
Python, Maya, visual effects and/or CG feature animation production
experience, GUI design.

Software Engineer, Production Data Management System

Develop and maintain a Componentized Production Data Management System used
to track the creation and editing of products generated in a digital
production pipeline for visual effects and CG animated films.

The development centers around data management from Maya related products,
but needs to integrate with other packages or software languages.
Development of a robust software testing system and quality assurance
procedures will also be required. Skills: Software QA experience, C++,
Maya/Mel, Python, GUI development, visual effects and/or CG feature
animation production experience, graphics experience.

Software Engineer / Render Development

Job focus is on the development and integration of a global illumination
renderer into a Maya centric lighting pipeline.  Experience with GI
rendering in a production environment a plus. Experience in the following
areas highly desired:  C/C++ experience; excellent math skills; ray tracing;
global illumination; sampling algorithms / probability density functions
(PDF); ray differentials / texture filtering; spatial data structures;
subdivision surfaces.

Color Scientist

The Color Scientist will be responsible for the maintenance, tracking, and
future development of Imageworks' color pipeline.

Responsibilities:
    * Measure and characterize CRT displays, digital cinema  projection
systems, and film scanning and recording equipment.
    * Develop suite of tools to automate color characterization procedures.
    * Develop library to automate gamut mapping / LUT creation.
    * Develop LUT validation / visualization tools.
    * Troubleshoot color reproduction errors across the facility production
pipeline.

Qualifications:
    * An understanding of colorimetry and gamut mapping techniques.
    * Experience implementing gamut mapping and colorimetry algorithms.
    * Familiarity with C++ / Python.
    * Interest in color reproduction on subtractive media (motion picture
film negative and print).
    * Experience in linear algebra, image processing, and numerical
techniques.
    * Customer-oriented mindset; ability to work under tight deadlines.
    * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
