Mostly, this was in hopes of providing them with better third party support as I was transitioning out of managing their IT department. In fact, support has gotten considerably worse. I have an open trouble ticket on a kernel that panics that has remained open almost a month (having been shut once without my consent). This is not an esoteric issue - it's a Kernel running on Dell (again, for support reasons). Support from Red Hat was better for them (and me) in 6.2. So, if you're looking for additional value from their enterprise class support, I can say from experience that I'm still looking. Also, be aware that the move to enterprise addition is indeed a downgrade - from Apache 2.0 to 1.3, for example. Many other apps move backwards, sometimes several versions. Ostensibly all of this is in hopes of providing better support for those versions and apps stamped with the big red seal of approval by Red Hat. As I said before, that better support still remains to be seen. So - in short, I haven't benefited from Enterprise's main selling point (support), only suffered from its drawbacks.
