If you look at it it is not Onyx-style kind of hardware, just eight
standard dual processors boxes and a very clever image combiner they
built, plus some really good programming to kick that off... :-)
If you consider going into the DI (digital intermediate) kind of work,
baselight is just the software to use. I have had to work with a Specter
system, had a good time at colorfronts office just around the time they
renamed it Lustre, seen Quantels solution, but baselight is IMHO by far
the most thought through product.
