Hi Giuliano, you can use your sourceforge user name ( giulianoc ) and your password to access every CVS tree of every of the 65000 projects on sf.net. The 'annoncvs' function of sourceforge will allow this. Find more information here https://sourceforge.net/docman/?group_id=1 , chapter 6 . Most here use WinCVS ( www.wincvs.org ) and its working quite nicely i hear. A Guide to using it with putty is here : https://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=766&group_id=1 . What problems do you have accessing gmane.org ? if the link news://news.gmane.org is not working for you, try to add the newsserver news.gmane.org manually in your newsreader setup. Also you can find here http://www.corecodec.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t =189 all the HTML links to be able to browse the Mailing lists archive. I recommend you join us on irc.openprojects.net #mcf soon and we can guide you step by step though a few processes. a Good IRC client for Windows is found on www.mirc.com , for Linux try to find BitchX .
