I actually like Media Container Format.  And as long as it sounds,

are all open, easy to spell, and easy to pronounce.
Now granted this is all in english, but I don't think that is a good reason
to
steer away from it.  I was asking my best friend yesterday for words that
had to do with containing, or holding something, and she was able to just
list off several things, but they were all either likely copyrighted, hard
to
spell/pronounce, or not easily recognizeable.  And these were all in either
german or english.  I say just go with whats easiest.
