Guys, i am sorry i have to inform you that using the PowerDivX board as we
do now may be problematic. In contrary to what i thought and was convinced
about it now becomes obvious that corecodec.com can n o t use the old
database from the powerdivx.com forums, because the postnuke interface can
not transfer old users.

So, as a matter of fact the old PowerDivX forum will soon be abandoned, and
with it all old threads, including the ones we started recently.

I am very very sorry that i m telling you this with an unnecessary delay,
but in fact Steve surprised me when posting the first threads to the board.

We have a few different alternatives now :

1. Everwicked offered to setup a private ( hidden ) forum on his board or on
the vdub support board

2. Dan Marlin had mentioned that we maybe can use the brand new corecodec
forums, being still under development, even befor the site is really up and
public.

3. As we can expect the forum to be real small and not much traffic to be
generated i could setup mySQL and PHP here on my little dynIP server and
host the forum here for us ( means no p2p for me to save bandwidth :-(
.. ).

The question whether we go for 1. or 2. will IMHO be also depending on our
future coperation with corecodec.com , mainly if we would like to be hosted
on their site in future or not.

Please let me know what you think

Christian

BTW : Dont care about the existing threads and its contents, i will take the
time and copy them and everything that was said over to the new database by
hand, wherever this will be.
