Re: Cooperation between MPC and MCF

It's always the same problem:

- Where it is completely and unambiguously documented?

- When and where was the discussion about the format specification?

- Is there any code available which is portable in the ISO way

(no autoconf, automake, configure, bash, perl stuff, but portable)

I was searching for some USABLE documentation of the Ogg/Vorbis file format

and found nothing.

Needs of container format:

- less overhead ( less 1% )

- comfortable fast and exact review and cueing

- easy to parse

- endian independent

This is Frankie boy ;-) ! Nice and polite as always ... but please bare in
mind he is from East-Germany and his English is very elementary. These guys
( he is about my age = 30 - 35 ) indeed have been teached Russian in shool,
instead of English like in West-Germany. So ... please be patient with him !

I know Frank from hours of discussion in old German audio Newsgroups in the
early 90s. His verbal expression seems to be rude sometimes, in fact this is
only a result of his rather precise and fast using of technical terms, plus
leaving simply most by-words away. In German this is quite acceptable (
German is a rude language ), but if you transfer this way of talking to
English, plus a very bad English, its pretty likely you piss everybody you
have conversation with :-) !!

Anybody care answering ? I will be on IRC later this afternoon. If nobody
wants to do i will reply nicely and point to the available docs, plus
mention the low overhead, fast seeking ( thanks to optional seek entries ),
etc.

Of course, a more technical reply from one of the devs would be preferred.
