Mesa 10.5.0 release candidate 1 is now available for testing. The
current plan is to have an additional release candidate every Friday
until the eventual 10.5.0 release on Mar 6th.

The tag in the git repository for Mesa 10.5.0-rc1 is 'mesa-10.5.0-rc1'.

As a reminder, with the 10.5 branch now created, patches nominated with:

	CC: <[email protected]>

will now be candidates only for the new 10.5 branch. To nominate patches
for the older 10.4 branch as well, please use:

	CC: "10.4 10.5" <[email protected]>

The expectation is that the 10.4 branch will remain alive with bi-weekly
releases until after 10.5.1 release.

Mesa 10.5.0 release candidate 1 is available for download from
ftp://freedesktop.org/pub/mesa/10.5.0/

Note: This is the first release to have been prepared via `make dist',
which brings us a few features:
 - All the autogenerated sources are shipped in the tarballs.
As such flex, bison or python are no longer required when building mesa.
 - The tarball name and root directory has been changed - s/MesaLib/mesa/
 - The tar.bz2 tarball has been depreciated in favour of tar.xz one.
 - The zip archive is no longer available.

As usual if you have any comments and/or have any problems with this
release kindly let me know :-)

-Emil
