mesa/kmscube repo at fork limit?

I tried to forkhttps://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/kmscube.git  <https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/kmscube.git>
but it just shows a bubble saying "you have reached your project limit"
so I don't see how to submit a merge request.
I have a small change to add a connector_id command line option
to kmscube to select the connector. I could post a patch.

How should I proceed?
