[GSoC/EVoC Proposal] Interest in Vulkan GPU Preference Tool - Husaina Bazmi

Dear Mesa-dev team,

My name is Husaina Bazmi.I am interested in the *Vulkan GPU Preference Tool=
*
project for GSoC/EVoC.

*The Situation:* I have an *Intel HD 620* (single-GPU). To develop and test
the multi-GPU selection logic, I plan to use *Lavapipe* as a secondary
virtual Vulkan device.

*My Questions:*

   1.

   Is using *Lavapipe* for testing a second device acceptable for this
   project=E2=80=99s scope?
   2.

   Beyond dri-conf, are there specific Mesa modules you recommend I study
   first?

I=E2=80=99m comfortable with *C/C++* and am ready to set up a Linux environ=
ment for
Mesa development.
