Newbie question on building OpenGL ES

I am currently on a Fedora Core 9 linux (Work requires this version).
Because of this, the configure won't work because the libdrm is to
old.

My question is how to build the OpenGL ES 1.1 variant of mesa without
hardware drivers from makefiles?
