Some tests - Will the speed return?

Hello Mesa people

I've been playing with the good old RV570 on Linux for some time
and it was always exciting when new Mesa drivers appeared
that finally also allowed to play Doom3 and Penumbra.
That's awesome work!

But it seems that recent Mesa Drivers are slower that earlier ones.
These are the FPS counts for the same scene in the game Nexuiz.

There's a lot geometry in the scene but GLSL was disabled
and texture quality settings weren't very high either.

Nice, 7.10 brought 2 FPS more but that's still way below 7.8.2.

So will the speed of earlier versions return at some point?
