OMG! There is no api_exec.c file anymore. What happened?

Although there is a commentary about it in:
 _mesa_initialize_dispatch_tables(...)

/* Do the code-generated setup of the exec table in api_exec.c. */



They are all done with scripts.

Is there a book about mesa? I mean someone should write a book
explaining all the details of the implementation of mesa.
I would buy it :)
