It's a pretty big task as the disk space that it took was 30 gigs for the compilation and 22 gigs for the target install part. I chose the 7.0.1 version because that's what I had on CentOS 7. Now I don't get that "Assertion 'get() != pointer()' failed" error but the Kivy application opens and works correctly in the X2go session.
