There's a option to disable mail delivery from the lists, that way you 
can keep subscribed, not receive other mailing list messages, but still 
receive replies, as long as they reply it to you.

What's the gpu you're using? If you're unsure, you can gist the output 
of "glxinfo" or "inxi -b".

Are you able to run glxgears at your monitor's refresh rate or any game 
that utilizes your gpu for rendering?
