Hi all,

[Note, I posted this to the V4L list a few days ago, but didn't get a
response. Not sure where's the proper place to post it]

I've got an embedded system that provides a ZR36710 and 36067 pair for MPEG1/2
decoding, and I'm looking at extending zoran_card.c and friends to support
it. The Vaddis chip connects to a CT69030 through its ZV port, so the chips
driver needs some tweaking too. I worked on the Vaddis before, so I'm
reasonably familiar with it.

>From what I've seen, it shouldn't make much difference to the unified zoran
driver whether it has a MJPEG or a MPEG slave. In my search for existing
work, I came across a message[1] by Ronald Bultje, which led to the MGA
driver[2] and the unified zoran driver[3]. That mail mentions the zoran
driver has (had?) Vaddis support, which I can't find any trace of..

Does anyone know of other work that might be useful to me?

The Matrox G200 driver has support for its DVD add-on card, which makes it a
pretty useful code base. I'd probably port some of that to a zr36710 module,
and use their i34 module for higher level interfacing.

Any advice on what might be the best approach for me to take?

Thanks!

     Rob
