	No, I do not need a backtrace with gdb (the problem was easily
	reproducible).  I have both Intel and PPC Macs with 10.5 (Leopard).
	The problem did not happen on PPC (either OSX 10.4 or 10.5).  The
	only case I was unable to test was MacIntel on 10.4.11

	If the program no longer crashes for you (and does not corrupt the
	output) then the problem is resolved/closed.
