Dear MPEGIF News Readers,

 

As you all know, NAB 2006 in Las Vegas begins this weekend with its
conference program and Monday the exhibition floor will open its gates. I
have no doubt that the week will be very interesting. MPEGIF has been
working hard to make sure that the interest level is high, and once again
will be contributing to the show content. We have organized a full day joint
forum, and will be hosting an evening event, as well as sponsoring booths on
the show floor.

 

-- Let's start with the conference ...

 

Together with our colleagues from ISMA (www.isma.tv <http://www.isma.tv/> )
we are presenting a full day joint forum entitled "Advanced Video Services:
>From Broadband to Wireless" on Sunday 23, April 2006 in the Las Vegas
Convention Center, Room S221 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Top class speakers from; Alcatel, AT&T Operations Inc., IBM Digital Media,
Motorola, Nagravision, Nokia, PBS and Video Networks Ltd. will speak for 30
minutes each concluding in two panels. Of course, David Price and I will
give you an update of our work especially in respect of our MPEGIF logo
qualification program.

 

Be sure to register and show up early -- we'll welcome you with breakfast,
and by the way, we will also have lunch!

ISMA for a drink.

 

-- Show floor ... This year, we have two horses in the race...

 

The first one is the AVC Alliance booth (Booth # SL1976 South Hall 2). We
are sponsoring this booth together with ISMA. We will exhibit in this booth,
