FREMONT, Calif., 31 August 2006 -- The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF), the
world's largest advocacy group for MPEG based technologies, is presenting a
FREE Supersession at IBC 2006 titled "Standards Based Technologies in IPTV
Ecosystems" on Saturday, 9 September 2006 between 9.30 am and 1.00pm in Room
O at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

 

Industry experts from Alcatel, AT&T, France Telekom, T-Online, Telekom
Austria, Pace, 3Vision, and Quative representing the most influential
players in next generation video entertainment multimedia and
standards-based delivery exchange their views on trends and technologies
that are changing the way digital multimedia is created, compressed,
delivered and monetized.

 

"All the various aspects of the IPTV Ecosystem continue to be extremely hot
topics in the market place. MPEGIF has, and will carry on playing a key role
in informing, promoting, and networking the IPTV industry to facilitate even
wider adoption of next generation standards based technologies such as
MPEG-4 AVC/H.264." commented Sebastian Moeritz, President MPEGIF (and CEO at
dicas).

in the broadcast industry such as IBC and NAB" said David Price, Vice

The format of this FREE Supersession will be two keynotes and two panels as
well as a brief update on MPEGIF's activities including the MPEGIF Logo
