Thus support for it does not seem desirable for me personally, at the very least not without a strong warning, as at least Windows builds using it will be non-redistributable, and at the very least enabling by default is thus not ok. Not opposing it in principle, but at least the license aspect must be treated in a way that will not result in people violating any licenses by accident. One way would be to model it after FFmpeg's non-redistributable configure option.
