Dump out on seek

Hi Folks,

I'm recording a transport stream from my DVB-T card with:

mencoder dvb://"ABC TV Sydney" -endpos 00:15:00 -oac copy -ovc copy -o me.ts

But, using mplayer to play the resulting me.ts, any seek forward quits
out:  "Exiting... (End of file)"

Similar dump using mplayer itself:

mplayer -dumpfile mp.ts -dumpstream  dvb://"ABC TV Sydney"

And the resulting mp.ts is fine.  (but there's no -endpos option so I have
to kill mplayer to stop the recording :)

Output from mencoder included below.  Tried -of mpeg, which worked, but
that seems to be for MPEG-1 streams only, and the audio/video sync was
off.  List archive search didn't yield anything.  Help please!
