At last, testing the line command that you've give me, the console gives me an error: ~$ mencoder -endpos 00:00:30 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4 -vf crop -oac copy -o prueba1.avi dvb://CNN+ > /dev/null Requested audio codec family [mp3] (afm=mp3lib) not available. Enable it at compilation. The selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec. Try adding the scale filter, e.g. -vf spp, scale instead of -vf spp. What is the meaning?? I can hear mp3 form a file, but I think that the codify-codec is not installed. I was installed Mplayer from repositories of ubuntu edgy 6.10.....for me isn't important that the sound can't be mp3... And the codec?? what's the meaning?? I can't use it with dvb?? Thanks in advance
