channels.conf syntax?

Hi,

I tried to find out the meaning of the fields in the channels.conf file,
because I wanted to change a station. Unfortunately, everything I found
was pointing to "the szap file format" without explaining it. The dvb-utils
package (which contains szap) doesn't have sufficient docs either (not
even man pages). And then, of course, there's another, incompatible lindvb
channels.conf format.

So, could please someone explain the channels.conf file syntax? - TIA!
