Uhm, what exactly are you referring to? I tried the patched version with 
-nocache and it is like slideshow. When using patched version without 
-nocache is is fuent for a few seconds then not so nice anymore. On 
channel switch usually stuttering is higher. Furthermore sometimes on 
start-up or channel change a/v is out of sync. Could it be because of 
alsa9 sound plugin? WIth 1.0.2pre I used arts plugin. I had all kinds of 
trouble compiling the cvs mplayer version and dunno how to get mplayer 
compiled with arts support.

Curently I amnot in the mood anymore to unapply the patch and compile it 
again and reboot and append dvb_shutdown=0 (or what it was)., if you 
wanted me to try this as well. Maybe tomorrow.
